At NaLEC, research is an essential part of our commitment to advancing justice, understanding, and positive change. Guided by our faith in Christ and the biblical principles of justice, mercy, and love, we seek to better understand the issues affecting our communities and the broader society. We believe that thoughtful research can help illuminate challenges, identify opportunities, and equip individuals and communities with the knowledge needed to create meaningful and lasting change.
 

Our research is grounded in the belief that every person is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and possesses inherent dignity and worth. This conviction shapes the questions we ask, the perspectives we seek to understand, and the communities whose experiences we strive to elevate. We are committed to examining complex social issues with integrity, compassion, and a willingness to listen to voices that are often overlooked or underrepresented.
 

In Proverbs 31:8-9, Scripture calls us to “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves” and to “speak up and judge fairly.” This call inspires our approach to research. We seek to bring greater understanding to issues that affect individuals, families, and communities, while creating space for informed dialogue and thoughtful engagement. Through research and analysis, we aim to provide valuable insights that can strengthen communities, inform leaders, and contribute to constructive conversations.

Our research also reflects our commitment to connecting faith with knowledge and action. We recognize that research can be a powerful tool for understanding the realities people face, challenging assumptions, and identifying pathways toward greater justice and human flourishing. By bringing together data, lived experiences, scholarship, and faith-based perspectives, we seek to contribute to a deeper and more informed understanding of the issues that matter most.
 

Through our Research work, NaLEC seeks to produce and share knowledge that informs, inspires, and equips. Our goal is not simply to study issues, but to use what we learn to encourage meaningful dialogue, strengthen communities, and advance a vision of a society rooted in dignity, justice, compassion, and hope.
