FAITH ON THE FRONTLINES: New Jersey Latino Pastors Speak to the Most Urgent Challenges Facing Their Congregations & Communities
Today, as Hispanic Heritage Month begins, we are proud to release Faith on the Frontlines.
Published by the Latino Action Network Foundation (LANF) in collaboration with CRECE at Kean University and the National Latino Evangelical Coalition - NALEC, this first-of-its-kind New Jersey policy report draws on the voices and experiences of more than 100 Latino pastors, chaplains, and ministry leaders serving communities across the state.
Their message is clear: immigration, affordable housing, and mental health are among the most urgent challenges facing the families they serve. The report also documents a larger reality—Latino faith institutions are serving as trusted community anchors and de facto first responders, helping families navigate needs that extend far beyond the walls of their congregations.
As we begin Hispanic Heritage Month, Faith on the Frontlines elevates voices deeply rooted in our communities and provides a foundation for greater collaboration, investment, and action.
