History was made this week at El Salvador!
For the first time ever, World Vision USA partnered to bring a US Latino evangelical cohort to Latin America in partnership with the National Latino Evangelical Coalition (NaLEC) for a “Chosen” vision trip - right here in El Salvador.
And it was more than a visit. It was a homecoming. It was a calling. It was a commitment. Standing on Salvadoran soil, we witnessed the power of faith in action through the “Chosen” project—where sponsoring children is not just about meeting immediate needs, but about investing in futures, strengthening families, and transforming entire communities.
We prayed together. We listened to stories of resilience. We saw firsthand how partnership creates opportunity—how hope multiplies when the global Church says “yes” to walking alongside the most vulnerable. NaLEC is deeply honored to collaborate with and World Vision in this sacred work.
As Latino evangelicals in the United States, returning to Latin America in solidarity reminds us that our faith knows no borders. Our roots, our prayers, and our responsibility are interconnected.
This is only the beginning. We believe in a generation of children who are chosen, seen, and empowered. We believe in communities rising with dignity. We believe in holistic ministry. We believe in investing in global health, clean water, and economic development. And we believe that when we come together across nations, transformation happens.
El Salvador, thank you for welcoming us.🧡🫂
“We are you, and you are us,” my words with Salvadorean pastors, children and community leaders.
The work continues. We pray you join the Gospel-centered work.
