NaLEC is strengthening the future of Latino Pastoral Leadership

NaLEC continues to strengthen leaders, help build resilient churches, and advance economic flourishing across Latino communities.

These past days, NaLEC participated in the Economic Challenges Facing Pastoral Leaders (ECFPL) annual Gathering in Indianapolis, joining national partners and faith leaders through this National Initiative by the Lilly Endowment to address the economic challenges facing pastoral leaders.

What began as a financial literacy effort has grown into a broader ecosystem of pastoral sustainability, including financial formation, retirement planning, healthcare navigation, crisis stabilization, leadership accompaniment, and congregational support.

Through NaLEC’s trusted grassroots network, churches continue serving as centers of leadership, stability, and hope within vulnerable communities.

To date, our Initiative has engaged 308 pastors & leaders representing 176 congregations, supported 61 matching grant applications, awarded more than $420K through the Ministerial Excellence Fund, and generated nearly $289K in matching funds.

Most importantly, pastors are no longer carrying financial strain alone.

NaLEC remains committed to building healthier ministry ecosystems, stronger leaders, resilient congregations, and flourishing communities for generations to come.
